Right 用法

一、形容词 right 作“正确”、“对”、“恰当”讲

1. That’s (= That is) right, I think. 我想，这是对的。
2. He is right in doing so. 他这样做是正确的。
3. A right kind of fuel is needed for an atomic reactor. 原子反应堆需要一种适宜的燃料。
4. We must do the right thing at the right time. 我们必须在适当时机做适当的事情。

二、形容词 right 作“直的”、“垂直的”讲

1. He regards AB as a right line. 他认为 AB 是一条直线。（句中 as a right line 是宾语补语。）
2. This law is true of (或 for) any right triangles. 这个定律适用于任何直角三角形。

三、形容词 right 作“右的”、“正面的”讲

1. In the right shop there are all sizes of gloves. 右边的商店内有各种尺码的手套。
2. Let us take a right turn. 让我们向右拐弯。
3. This is the right side of a piece of cloth. 这是一块布的正面。

四、副词 right 作“正确地”、“恰当地”、“恰好”、“完全地”讲

1. You have just done right. 你刚才做得不错。
2. She is driving a car right here. 她现在就在这里开车。
